Introductions
Here are brief descriptions of our specialties.
Powder Coating

Powder coating is the most desirable finish for parts that take heavy abuse, like wheels.

“This is powder?!” Powder coating is the choice finish for demanding industrial and consumer applications, but it’s gained a reputation for being thick and ugly. Ours is anything but.
“Looks like paint, acts like armor.” A protective and decorative coating. Generally applied to metals. Higher adhesion, flexibility, abrasion resistance, chip resistance, and chemical resistance than liquid paints. Applied dry (in powder form) by electrostatic charge, then baked in an oven. Most powders cure at 400*F. Available in 6500+ colors. Available in various gloss levels, textures, metallics, candies, pearls, and more. Evironmentally-friendly alternative to liquid paints.
Multi-Color Powder Coating

Multi-color powder coating is one of our specialties. Our lines are the cleanest in the industry.

A stellar powder job on a big V-twin commands attention.
When other coaters tell you, “It can’t be done,” talk to us. We specialize in doing things with powder that most coaters don’t even know is possible.
Graphics

White powder base coat, airbrushed graphics, and clear powder top coat. Our client provided a computer illustration for this design.

In this case, our client suggested the color combination and theme, and he let us run with the design and execution.
We make most of our graphics in-house. We can create graphics from scratch, use your graphics (computer or hand-sketched), and obtain or duplicate OEM graphics and logos. Current graphic capabilities include airbrushing, etching, cut vinyl decals, traditional and powder-coatable water-slide decals, and UV-printing. We’re always innovating and developing new techniques.
Pinstriping

Wheel stripes offer a classic, yet bold look.

If you’ve got nice lugs, flaunt them.
Classic line detailing. Perfect for adding subtle color to wheels or setting off bicycle lugs. We use top-quality enamel striping paint. Wheel striping is perfectly true; no wobble when rolling.
Etching & Decorative Abrasion

Tungsten carbide wedding ring (originally polished) brush-turned then blast-etched. The darkness of the etching is the natural color of tungsten.

Glass and mirror etching are great ways to make ordinary objects eye catchers. The etched border was designed to exactly match the carved wood of the client’s bar.
Media blasting (aka sand blasting) can be used to make decorative etched designs in metal, glass, wood, rock, tile, and more. We also produce unique effects by sanding, grinding, filing, turning, milling, and heating parts. The decorative markings are then often cleared or candied.
Paint & Powder Stripping (Chemical)
Chemical stripping is much safer than mechanical stripping (blasting, scraping, sanding) when removing existing paint or powder coatings, particularly on delicate or dimension/tolerance-critical parts. We chemically strip virtually all parts, leaving them completely bare and squeaky clean.
Media Blasting (Cleaning & Conditioning)

There’s not enough elbow grease in the world to clean some parts. That’s where we can help.

The owner of this vintage Rollfast is a painter by trade, and refinished this bicycle himself, but he appreciated the super-clean slate we provided.
Blasting (aka “media, sand, abrasive, bead” blasting) is used for ”scrubbing” and conditioning metal prior to coating. We “white” blast every piece, which is the highest level of clean and translates to tough, long-lasting coatings. We use high-grade medias, low pressures, and careful blasting techniques to produce the absolute cleanest substrates possible with tightly controlled surface conditions. The slightly rough texture left by blasting is called an “anchor profile,” also known as “tooth,” and significantly improves coating adhesion. Proper blasting does not “peen” the metal, nor does it remove material. Cleans engine components of contaminants like carbon buildup. Polished ports and passages are protected.
Repairs & Fabrication

Conventional repair materials fail miserably at powder coating temperatures, so we use special materials and techniques.

We like to be your one-stop-shop. These bars received internal cable routing mounts, had unused holes filled, and were powder coated high gloss black.
Welding repairs. Dent, gouge, hole, and pitting repairs prior to powder coating. Frame shaving. Weld clean-up. CNC plasma plate/sheet burning, CNC milling, turning. Mounts, brackets, etc. made from scratch. If you need metal work that we can’t do in-house, we probably know a quality metal worker locally who can.
Assembly Prep & Specialty Services
We pride ourselves in not only making your parts look great, but also in making your life easier. While we’re preparing parts for finishing, we clean threads, bores, and bosses. We face mating surfaces and gasket joints. And we go out of our way to protect those features during finishing. These services are standard. We also offer additional services, such as thread chasing and bicycle tube facing.
