Mach V Motorsports is a top-notch auto tuning and accessories shop having particular strengths with Subarus, Mitsubishis, and Minis.  Contained within their shop is a full fabrication area for building anything up to full race chassis, state-of-the-art mounting, balancing, and alignment machines, a dyno, and most importantly the experience necessary to extract the most from those great tools.  Mach V is owned and operated by Danny in Sterling VA.

Manassas Honda Kawasaki Suzuki is my go-to for anything metric-related. Nathan and Greg do a great job back in the service department, not only with maintenance, but with accessorizing and customizing, as well. You’ll see plenty of non-Honda/Kawasaki/Suzuki machines in for service, also, which shows these guys know what they’re doing. Recently wall-to-wall rennovated to accomodate more bikes, accessories, and equipment.

The Old Bike Shop Re-Cyclery in Arlington VA is a bike shop like you’ve never seen before.  They sell used bicycles.  You won’t find beat up Huffy rigs, though.  You’ll find beautiful, unique, and mechanically-excellent bicycles with history and stories behind them.  This shop is the creation of Larry, who is by far the most knowledgeable person I know when it comes to bicycles.  Looking for an obscure short-run Italian bicycle you used to ride in the ’70s?  Or a pre-war, period-correct Raleigh?  Or the bicycle you received in 1963 on your 8th birthday?  Larry has an uncanny ability to find these things.  Definitely check out his shop, it won’t disappoint!

Patriot Harley Davidson  in Fairfax is what I wish all HD shops were like.  If you’ve been to different HD shops, you know they’re hit and miss.  These guys are a hit.  They go out of their way for customers, even if there isn’t a sale in it for them. You’ll be hard-pressed to find someone more knowledgeable about Harleys than Jeff in parts.
